1. Where did most of the people live in early times ? Write about their life.
Ans. People have lived on the banks of the River Narmada for several thousand years. They are skilled gatherers i.e. people who gathered food. They knew about plants in the surrounding forest and collected roots, fruits and other forest produce for their food. They also hunted animals.
2. Where are Suleiman and Kirthar hills ? What did they grow ?
Ans. Suleiman and Kirthar hills are to the northwest. Some of the areas where men and women first began to grow crops such as wheat and barley about 8000 year ago are located here. People also began rearing animal like sheep, goat and cattle and lived in villages.
