How were the Mughals greater than their predecessors?
Ans. On the opposite of their predecessor mughals built a huge empire and they achived what had hetherto seemed possible fr only short period of time. Onto a half 16th century they expanded their kingdom from Agra and on the 17th century they controlled most of the part of the subcontinent. They imposed structure and administration and idea of governance that outlasted their rule and leaving a political legacy that succeeding the rulers of the subcontinent could not overlook.
Q2. How did Babur become the ruler of Delhi?
Ans. Babur wandered for several years. Then in the year 1505 he seized Kabul. In 1526 he defeated the Sultan of Delhi, Ibrahim Lodi, in the battle of Panipat. Thus, he captured Delhi where he laid the foundation of the Mughal Empire.

Ans. The word Mansab is of Arabic origin which means rank or position, the mansabdars were nobles, high civil or military officials, provincial governors or military commanders who had the right to hold jagir, or revenue assignment for services rendered by then.
Responsibilities of the mansabdars were-
A mansabdar had to perform civil and military duties as and when asked.
A mansabdar holding a rank of 5,000 had to maintain 340 horses, 100 elephants, 400 camels, 100 mules and 160 carts.
For every ten cavalry men, the mansabdar had to maintain twenty horses for that had to provided rest while on a march and replacements were necessary in times of war.
