Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence are choice-based schools for grades 9 to 12 that allow students to specialise in their chosen fields of study. The Government of NCT of Delhi has established Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Schools of Specialised Excellence in order to cater to students who have a demonstrated interest and aptitude in specific domains.

Residence & previous school
Ambedkar SOSE admissions are open for students who are residents of NCT of Delhi (with a valid address proof) and are studying in a recognized school of NCT of Delhi. Both the residence and school conditions need to be met to be eligible for admissions in Ambedkar SOSEs.
Age limit
For admission in Grade the applicant must have completed the age of 13 years but less than 15 years as of 31/03/2023.
Regular students currently enrolled in class 8th (academic session 22-23) in any recognised school of Delhi are eligible to apply irrespective of age.
Age relaxation is applicable as per Directorate of Education, government of NCT of Delhi norms.
At least 50% of the students admitted to ASoSE will be from Government or government-aided schools.
Admission Process
Students will be selected through a two-stage aptitude assessment. The first stage will be a written test including verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, and logical reasoning. Students selected for the second stage will be required to complete a project (project instructions will be communicated upon promotion to stage 2), and give an interview based on their submission.

High-End 21st Century Skills ASoSEs (HE21 ASoSEs) aim to provide aspirational career and higher
education pathways to the students. The schools prepare students for success in a wide range of emerging
and high-demand fields by developing specialised skills keeping employability at the core.
Admissions are open for grade 9 for the academic year 2023-24.
Admission Process:
1. Admission process will have TWO rounds.
● First Round: Written MCQ Test (50% Weightage)
● Second Round: Project Work and Interview (50% Weightage)

Applicants who clear Round 1 will be invited to appear for Round 2.
3. Second Round: Project Work and Interview
● Stage 2 will be a practical test of a student's aptitude and interest.
● Students will be asked to complete project work over 3-5 days based on activity prompts
provided across a range of topics.
● Students would be required to attend an in-person interview at the chosen campus to
demonstrate the project work. In addition to the project work, students may be asked a
few general questions on their interest areas, motivation to join SoSE etc.

STEM ASoSEs provide new age education in science disciplines to students who aspire to study in leading
Indian and global institutes for engineering, medical, and pure and applied sciences.
The schools have partnered with leading industry experts and focus on teaching STEM-focused curriculum
to help students prepare for competitive exams in engineering (JEE), medicine (NEET), pure Sciences
(CUET), National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) etc.
Admissions are open for grade 9 for the academic year 2023-24.
